The National Economic Development Plan 2025-2030, known as Plan México, published fully later today is an ambitious document. It lays out how the government is going to pave the way for a new age of Mexican economic and technological prowess. Sheinbaum says she is to make Mexico “a global scientific power.”

Then there’s the sheer scope of it. Consequently, this will be an initial but comprehensive overview. The Plan’s drive to boost Mexico’s economy can be boiled down to four main lines of attack:
