Uncharted Mexico: Chiapas challenge

As reports from the US emerge that Donald Trump is pushing for military intervention against drug cartels in Latin America, a lot of the focus moves to the north of Mexico where most drug violence has been historically focused. Claudia Sheinbaum, who dismissed the call to military strikes as being “off the table”, has nevertheless been very keen to underscore how hard her government is mobilising its own military to capture cartel members, drugs, money, and arms flowing across both countries.
